​Ke Huy Quan to Park Seo Joon: Asian celebs in Marvel superhero films

Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan is the latest star to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his role in the Tom Hiddleston-led web series 'Loki'. In early July, fans were treated to a glimpse of Park Seo Joon in the trailer of 'The Marvels', giving Asian fans a lot to look forward to in this epic Multiverse Saga. Here's a list of the many Asian actors who have been kicking butt alongside Marvel's greatest heroes. Take a look.

Ke Huy Quan

After starring in the Oscar-winning multiverse saga Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan will soon be seen playing the character Ouroboros (OB) — an archivist working at Time Variance Authority (TVA). He is apparently integral to the storyline, that sees Tom Hiddleston's Loki slipping through the time thread.

Park Seo Joon

It is finally time for South Korean actor Park Seo Joon to get into superhero mode and get groovy in the 'Captain Marvel' sequel 'The Marvels'. Starring Brie Larson, Zawe Ashton, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani, the film will see the hunk play the character of Prince Yan, the leader of a musical planet. Rumour has it that he will likely also play Carol Denver's husband in the superhero film. With this, he is now only the third Korean actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Simu Liu

'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', starring Simu Liu and an all-Asian cast, become one of the most successful films in the MCU. According to the latest reports, fans may just get to see more of Liu as he is set to feature as one of the members of the new Avengers.

Iman Vellani

Iman Vellani flew onto screens in the hit web series 'Ms Marvel' and will make her big screen debut in 'The Marvels' as she teams up with Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris in an intergalactic superhero adventure. Interestingly, the Canadian-Pakistani actress shares her roots with her comic book character Kamala Khan aka, Ms Marvel.

Ma Dong-seok

Korean-American actor Ma Dong-seok won hearts for his role in Chloe Zhao's Eternals. The actor, also known as Don Lee, who broke out with his role in the South Korean zombie film 'Train to Busan', made his Hollywood debut as the superhero Gilgamesh, a powerful Eternal who possesses immense physical strength. Sadly, his character meets his end in the events of the film.

Michelle Yeoh

Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, has not one but two MCU appearances. The actress portrayed Aleta Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and also took on the role of Ying Nan in 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'. It will be interesting to see if she returns in the sequel of the film.

Harish Patel

Indian actor Harish Patel instantly became a fan-favourite for his role as Karun in the Eternals. Patel, who plays a human sidekick to Kumail Nanjiani's character Kingo, won hearts for his performance and had even been anointed the G.O.A.T. on social media.
