Jamie Lee Curtis revisits Oscar-winning film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’: ‘Did I understand that script? No’
Jamie Lee Curtis played one of the lead roles in the quirky and eccentric thriller drama ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once.’ While revisiting her time on set of the Oscar-winning film, Curtis recalled that she was extremely confused when the script landed in her lap.
When asked about it, the star replied quickly by saying, “Of course not. Not one second of it. Did I understand that script? No.” Though she further added that she did relate to her character, and cited that she was written in such a way that many people would too. Talking about her role, Curtis quipped, “We all know Dierdre. She's a woman who's not loved. She's a woman who uses her power in her job to control people because she has no love in her life.” Jamie Lee Curtis played the role of an IRS officer.
The film’s official synopsis reads, “A middle-aged Chinese immigrant is swept up into an insane adventure in which she alone can save existence by exploring other universes and connecting with the lives she could have led.”
‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ was a critically acclaimed film at the time of its release, and performed extremely well during award season. It was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and took home 7 of those titles. While featuring on the latest episode of ‘CBS News’ 60 Minutes’ on Monday this week, the famed actress recalled the confusion she faced while reading the script of ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once.’ The actress outright admitted that from the first look, the script was a confusing mess for her.When asked about it, the star replied quickly by saying, “Of course not.
