Michael Jacksons chimpanzee pal Bubbles is set to become the subject of a Hollywood movie and book, according to his owner.
The ape was a constant companion to the singer but had to be given up in 2003 when he became too aggressive.
The 26-year-old is now living at an animal sanctuary in north Los Angeles.
Bob Dunn, an animal trainer who looks after the chimpanzee, has claimed that a mega-bucks deal is "on the table".
"There's a lot of interest. Bubbles has led an interesting life. There's lots to say," the Sun quoted Dunn as saying.
Dunn said that the ape would be upset to know he will never see the singer again.
"Bubbles and Michael were close friends and playmates. Their bond was unique, Dunn said.
"Bubbles missed him when they parted and will miss him now. Chimpanzees remember people and stuff. The last time Michael visited Bubbles recognised him," he added.
