Ice Age 4: Pre-historic flirtation

The Ice Age franchise, a family favourite, will find squirrels, sabertooths and mammoths falling in love
All the Ice Age films – Continental Drift included – are animated features you can enjoy with the entire family. One doesn’t really have to go further than the storylines to see that the adventures and the journeys that our heroes – a mammoth (Manny), a sloth (Sid) and a saber-toothed tiger – embark upon are to lead them home to their families.
Family has always been at the heart of the stories in this franchise, which has found several fans of all ages, and so is the search and eventual discovery of a soulmate.
So while the three animals become the unlikeliest friends in the first film, Manny finds Ellie in the second film, Scrat manages to look past his acorn in the third, as he falls for Scratte, even as Sid seeks to adopt baby dinosaurs.
In the latest installment, Diego finds himself losing his heart to Shira (in Jennifer Lopez’s voice) in this film.
Bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee, a self-confessed fan of 3D films in general, and the Ice Age series in particular, says, “I have followed the series right since the first film in the franchise.” Ask her who her favourite character is and she replies, “Manny!”
