With Barry Keoghan being the latest star to hang up his 'Eternals' cape and play the villain in 'The Batman', we take a look at many other actors who played different comic book characters at the same time.

Barry Keoghan went from playing an all-powerful Eternal Druig to the crown prince of crime, Joker within a span of months. The actor who made his superhero debut with the Marvel film featured in a cameo in the Robert Pattinson starrer 'The Batman'.

Just when everyone thought Willem Dafoe left his villainous days behind him when he took on the role of Vulko in Aquaman, and Zack Snyder's 'Justice League', the star made his return as the menacing Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. He will be back on the big screen in the upcoming 'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom'.

Jared Leto

Jared Leto made his debut in the DCEU as the Joker in 'Suicide Squad' that was met with much resistance from the audience. He returned as the character in Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' while he was also awaiting the release of his Marvel anti-hero film 'Morbius'. Get ready to see more of his character in the 'Venom' movies and the upcoming 'Kraven the Hunter'.

Michael Keaton, made headlines when he confirmed his return as 'Batman' in the upcoming DC superhero film 'The Flash'. This comes at a time when the actor is busy playing the supervillain Vulture in 'Spider-Man' and the upcoming 'Morbius' film.

Chris Pine, who played a major role in DC's 'Wonder Woman' as Steve Trevor, provided the voice for Peter Parker in the Oscar-winning animated film 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'. The actor then returned as his famed character in 'Wonder Woman 1984'.

Long before switching between Marvel and DC cinematic universes was even a trend, Halle Berry took the lead and played the characters Storm and Catwoman. The actress made her superhero debut in the 2000 film 'X-Men' as the mutant Storm. Four years later, she clawed her way to her first female-lead action flick 'Catwoman' that sadly failed at the box office.
