Bhojpuri cinema is mainly known for rurally based stories, high action drama and dance numbers. But, after certain growth, Bhojpuri industry presented other genres too like comedy to their audiences. Many famous Bhojpuri actors have tried to entertain fans by their comedy. Almost in every Bhojpuri movie, you can see the twist of comedy but some comedy films done by famous actors are really worth watching.

'Nirahua Nautankiwala' is one of the best comedy Bhojpuri films of superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav a.k.a. Nirahua. In the film, Nirahua played the role of a clown who entertains people. It was directed by M.I. Raj and produced by Jyotsna Nigam. Nirahua is one of the highest paid actors of Bhojpuri industry.

'Pinjare Wali Muniya' starred popular star Ravi Kishan. The movie also had Marathi actor Makarand Anaspure, who is popularly known for comic roles in Marathi cinema. The film was directed by Kanchan Nayak and Bhojpuri actress Rinku Ghosh played the leading lady opposite Ravi Kishan in 'Pinjare Wale Muniya'.

Khesari Lal Yadav’s 'Hera Pheri' was an action-comedy-drama movie, directed by Naushad Alam. Along with Khesari other popular stars such as Kajal Raghwani and Shubhi Sharma were part of the film. Khesari is known as a singer and actor in Bhojpuri industry. His breakthrough came from his Bhojpuri album ‘Maal Bhetai Mela Me’. Pawan is popularly well known for his Bhojpuri famous song ‘Lollypop Lagelu’. He has worked on Bhojpuri pop albums as a vocalist and played his first lead role in 2007 film ‘Rangli Chunariya Tohre Naam’.
