it was a sadness that engulfed my soul... it was then that my friend Bilu Dutta insisted I get back to work ... he cajoled me pestered me till I agreed... and I chose this play ... a fantastic adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker by none other than my dad .. while I read the play it lifted the cobwebs of gloom and despair from my mind and I thought if any thing can save me it’s this play ...#BILU I’LL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL... Anyway to cut a long story short we started the journey .... met with a lot of obstacles ... ups, downs, inbetweens... tremendous cooperation along with little rebellions and hints of discontent... personal losses along with collective triumph, overall amazing help and support from most people...”

She said now that the team is gearing up for its 50th show, she had to thank the cast and crew and also mentioned her father, Soumitra Chatterjee, adding that he is her “friend, philosopher and guide.” She added, “I bow in respect and gratitude to each and every member of the audience ... it wouldn't have been possible without You..”
