Violin Brothers’ special performance on World Music Day

Deb Sankar Roy and Jyoti Sankar Roy, popularly known as Violin Brothers, performed at a special show on the occasion of World Music Day. They said that this was the first time they performed without an audience, as their one-hour performance was recorded and aired live on different online platforms. "While we played a number of original compositions, we have also played the Feluda theme," said Deb Sankar.

Since the lockdown, the Violin Brothers have been making a number singles for their social media platforms. "While most of our western compositions are based on the works of Vivaldi, there are some made by us," he added. Talking about the reason behind choosing Vivaldi, Deb Sankar said that they have chosen the Italian composer to empathise with the country. "We are also working on a couple of Rabindrasangeet projects and these are all for different social media platforms and for common people," Deb Sankar said.
