Lagnajita takes precautions to protect her throat

is very particular about the condition of her throat, especially during this time of the year. She said that from end-October, when the mercury starts to fall, there is a high chance of catching a throat infection.

She said that she easily catches an infection and that’s why the first thing she does during this time is to stop riding her scooter. “There is a high possibility of catching an infection in the cold wind. So, I avoid riding my scooter during this time,” said Lagnajita. Besides, she said that she has a piece of

garlic

every morning and it works like magic.

Talking about the pollution in Kolkata and its effects on her throat, she said that we should stop being in denial and accept that Kolkata is a polluted city. “We all have to take appropriate precautions to tackle it. For instance, I did not burst a single cracker during Diwali and Kali Puja. That’s my way of fighting pollution,” she said, adding that regular gargling with lukewarm water helps her fight throat infections in a big way.

Interestingly, it has been quite a while since Lagnajita went on a digital detox. The young singer is not on WhatsApp and it has been over 15 months since she deactivated her Facebook profile. While she has not given up on her email and mobile phone, she is largely keeping herself away from social media.
