I am sure we'll fight back: Lagnajita

While the entire city is under the carnage caused by cyclone Amphan, Lagnajita Chakraborty and her family are experiencing a tough time. There have been hours of power cut at the singer's family and as a result she has her relatives staying with them. “I am far better off than many thousands of people who have lost everything. However, there is no power for days at my uncles’ places and as a result they are staying with us.” said Lagnajita, who has been stuck in Kolkata since lockdown.
The singer’s family farmhouse at Mullickpur was completely destroyed in the storm on May 20.“The farmhouse, where we used to go for picnics, is completely gone. But we cannot think about that at the moment. This is the time that we have to stay strong. I am trying to extend my support to charity organisations as much as I can. I am sure that we will be able to fight back,” the singer said.
