Anupam Roy spills the beans on his birthday plans

Musician Anupam Roy turns a year older today. “I turn 40 today. Now I have to age reversely,” said Anupam with a smile. He added, “This evening, I have to attend an event where the first song of Bela Shuru will be launched. Then I have a musical concert at Diamond Harbour. I am so happy that live shows are back. For performers, live shows are like oxygen as one gets to interact with the audience directly during these shows. During the pandemic, I missed these shows terribly. It’s a working birthday for me but I am not complaining.”Talking more about his birthday plans, Anupam shared, “My friends from Bangalore sent me breakfast in the morning through a food delivery app. My parents came to my place in the morning to be with me on my special day. Ma has made payesh which I already had. She has also cooked my favourite — sorshe chingri — which I am going to have for lunch. Many of my fans and friends have sent cakes that I will cut through the course of the day. I never miss my morning riyaz, no matter what."What are his birthday resolutions, we asked Anupam. “I want to age reversely and try to do more good work to entertain my audience,” said Anupam who is composing music for Kaushik Ganguly’s Ardhangini and also working on his singles.
