After having worked in Aparna Sen’s ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’, Tuhina Das recently started shooting for a film, ‘Aparajita’, directed by Rohan Sen and it made her all excited. However, the actress feels a bit sad and emotional now since the shooting has been wrapped and she will surely miss the fun and excitement she had while working with Rohan and his team.
“Shooting for a film has its own charm just like watching a film on the big screen has its own magic.

I shot for many OTT projects in between but shooting for a film gives you a different kind of satisfaction,” said the actress, who has already taken her two doses of vaccine.
Tuhina.

Talking about the film, Tuhina said, “The film is about a father-daughter relationship. Shantilal Mukherjee plays my father in this film, and it’s my first project with him. The film shows how my character Aparajita interacts with her father only through writing notes in a diary. There is no verbal communication between them as she feels that her father is responsible for her mother’s death. So, the film shows what happens to their relationship later.”
Sharing more details about her character, Tuhina added, “I play the titular character. She is independent and responsible towards her family and to some extent, she is mentally dependent on her father too, which we will realise later in the film. She has a relationship with a guy who works with her in her office but whether the relationship is of love or friendship is something the audience will have to figure out. All I can say is Aparajita’s character is very relatable.”
