Trailer of Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey unveiled
Riding on the strong response to its teaser and music releases, the trailer of Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey was unveiled at a special launch event in Kolkata, further heightening anticipation for the upcoming film directed by Srijit Mukherji. The trailer expands the film’s creative canvas, presenting a layered narrative woven across three timelines connected to the life, legacy and interpretation of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya.
The story moves from the historical world of Mahaprabhu to the era of Binodini Dasi and Girish Ghosh, before shifting to the present day, where a filmmaker named Rai attempts to revisit and reinterpret Mahaprabhu’s journey. Each phase carries its own emotional intensity, reflecting how faith, art and remembrance evolve across generations.
The ensemble cast features Dibyojyoti Dutta, Subhashree Ganguly, Ishaa Saha, Indraneil Sengupta, Bratya Basu, Ananya Banerjee, Aratrika Maity, Alakananda Guha and others, with the trailer offering glimpses of their characters across different narrative layers.
Music remains one of the film’s key strengths, with an extensive soundtrack composed by Indraadip Dasgupta and featuring voices such as Kabir Suman, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Jayati Chakraborty and Padma Palash. The trailer launch event also included live musical performances and interactions with the team, marking an evening that celebrated both the film and its evolving creative journey.
