This Day That Year: Prosenjit-Rituparna’s relationship Drama 'Praktan' completes 4 years today

Tollywood is thriving on nostalgia amidst the nationwide lockdown and here’s a happy throwback as director duo Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s 2016 film 'Praktan' completes four years today.
The relationship drama had paired one of Bengali film industry's most romantic onscreen pairs- Rituparna Sengupta and Prosenjit Chatterjee after a long period. Just like 'Bela Sheshe' in 2015, this film also became a little gem at the Box Office.
There have been rumours about a potential sequel to the film but no official confirmation has come from Windows. The makers might want to evaluate the different characters and their relation from the previous film. ‘Praktan’ had so many characters and the makers will look to experiment with the psychological aspects of these characters in the proposed sequel. To make this flick engaging also, the narrative may go back and forth to show how the characters deal with the ghosts of their pasts.
The 2016 hit showed how the former wife successfully purifies the husband and churns out a better person out of him. She eventually turns him into a romantic lovable husband for the second wife. Experience makes a person perfect. That’s what Prosenjit’s character deals with. His character goofed up the first marriage so the next time he tries his best not to repeat the same mistakes but falls for a divorce once again.
