Actor Vikram Chatterjee believes that the present social and economic condition of the world, owing to the

coronavirus pandemic

, has made his profession a lot more challenging. That apart, he believes there has been a steep rise in insecurities among actors. “We work in a professional field that does not promise regular payment. We do not know what will happen to us in the coming years. Naturally, there is a sense of insecurity and it has shot up during the

lockdown

," he told us during a chat.
Vikram also revealed that two of his projects are stalled and he has no idea as to when those will be back on track. Before the lockdown rolled out, he was supposed to start working on

’s Chini, but it cannot be shot under the present restrictions. "Serials are being shot but not all types of content can be shot under the current scenario," he said, adding that he completed a project after returning from Mumbai on June 2.
On returning from Mumbai, the actor was in self-quarantine for 14 days. He would use disposable plates to eat and wouldn’t allow anyone inside his room. "I would talk to my mother through the door. I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but then again, reality is often stranger and fiction!” he said.
