Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhury’s ‘Nikhonj’ premieres on August 11

Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhury are finally coming together after a long time in the upcoming web series ‘Nikhonj’, directed by Ayan Chakraborti. The two powerhouse actors have floored up with their performances over the years, so you can expect another masterpiece, especially when it’s a thriller. The makers have now announced the premiere date. The series will start streaming on August 11 on a popular OTT platform.
Ayan who gave us the detective thriller franchise ‘Shororipu’ has already promised that ‘Nikhonj’ will be loaded with an ample dose of twists and turns. The story starts with a mysterious case of a missing girl and how a mother can go to any extent in search of her daughter. While Swastika Mukherjee will be seen as a top cop, DCP Brinda Basu, Tota Roy Choudhury is set to play the role of a celebrated journalist.
This is no doubt an exciting collaboration and fans are eagerly waiting to see Swastika playing a high-level police officer, especially when this is the first time actress will be seen as a police officer. Meanwhile, Tota playing a journalist is equally exciting, given his suave onscreen persona.

Meanwhile, Swastika Mukherjee’s latest film ‘Shibpur’ is finally releasing this Friday. The political thriller, directed by Arindam Bhattacharya, also sees a reunion of Swastika and Parambrata Chattopadhyay after a long time. Her new avatar of a mafia queen has already upped the excitement bar. After ‘Shibpur’, Swastika will once again collaborate with Arindam for another thriller ‘Durgapur Junction’ co-starring Vikram Chatterjee.

On the other hand, up next for Tota Roy Choudhury is the big Bollywood release, Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. He also has Bengali film ‘Beautiful life’ with Rituparna Sengupta.
