Sudiptaa Chakraborty: I am shy when it comes to asking for work

Sudiptaa Chakraborty can leave any movie buff in awe with her natural expressions alone but she has no such regrets about not being fully explored for her acting skills.
The thespian and versatile actor loves to work with newcomers instead of already established industry biggies.

That’s why she accepted the role of a Bihari woman Bindi in her husband Abhishek Saha’s directorial debut ‘Uronchondi’.
Except a few recent content-driven films, not very often have we seen the actress on the big screen. Sudiptaa is extremely choosy while accepting film roles and also doesn’t prefer to ask for work. “I am actually very shy when asking for work. I feel embarrassed to ask for roles, rather I just wait for them to approach me. I know I have to be more proactive in my career. I am trying to do that a bit. I have realized that to receive good offers you have to stay in other people’s thought process,” the actress said.
While speaking about ‘Uronchondi’, the national award-winning actress revealed that she wanted to stay away from the film initially. "I thought people might gossip as it’s my husband’s film, I am a natural choice. But it was Prosenjit Chatterjee, who convinced me into doing the character Bindi.”
