Bonny Sengupta has just returned from Kalimpong, where he was shooting for Saptaswa Basu’s film Jotugriho with
Parambrata Chatterjee. The film sees
Parambrata
playing a 70-year-old priest of a church in Nishadganj.
Paayel Sarkar is also part of the cast. Talking about his character, Bonny said, “I play a manager of a hotel in a town up in the hills. He was not getting any job in Kolkata. So, his friend who runs a hotel offered him a job there. Soon after he joins, mysterious things start happening. It is a horror film with a lot of twists and turns. We used to shoot at all the spooky, foggy places in the hills and at times it used to be really scary.”
Talking about his experience of working with Parambrata for the first time, Bonny said, “It was lovely to shoot with such a lovely energetic unit.
Param da
is fun to be with. As a co-actor, he helps everyone on the sets. As he is a director too, Param da used to help with shot divisions too. We used to shoot for 12 hours a day, but it was more fun than work.”
Bonny is upset that despite visiting Kalimpong, he couldn’t explore the place due to his hectic schedule. “I love to be in Kalimpong but this time we couldn’t go anywhere. I could only stop at a place to buy tea for Koushani (
Mukherjee
) and my family on my way back,” said Bonny.
