Shlilatahanir Pore to begin next week

’s next film, Shlilatahanir Pore, is all set to start from next Wednesday. It will be shot across Kolkata,

Bolpur

and Tajpur. Reshmi, who is very excited and looking forward to the shoot, said the topic of the film is very close to her heart.

The film is based on the struggle of a rape victim and how she comes out of depression with the help of a few friends. “It is the story of many such victims in our society. It talks about the struggles they face in their day-to-day lives,” said Reshmi. The film is an adaptation of Mallika Sengupta’s novel and it will take about 15 days to complete the shoot. The music of the film is being composed by Bappa and Arindam.

Reshmi, who forayed into Tollywood with Macho Mastana and followed it up with Hotath Dekha, recently wrapped up the shoot of Limelight. It stars Rituparna Sengupta, who has played a double role in a film for the first time. And now, the director has announced her next film, Shlilatahanir Pore. The cast includes Soumitra Chatterjee, Sreela Majumder, Rahul, Moubani Sorcar, Ishan Majumder, Devlina Kumar and Shubham, among others.

When asked about her character, Devlina said, “I play the victim in the film. My character is that of a band vocalist. While on an outdoor trip, she faces harassment, which forms the crux of the story,” she said.
