The uproar 'O Antava' is facing

Samantha Ruth Prabhu set the internet on fire with a fiery appearance in her first item song 'O Antava' from the much-awaited film ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun in the lead. Penned by Chandra Bose, the song 'O Antava' delivers a hard-hitting message on men look at women in general. Be it Samantha's attire or the spectacular set, the electrifying atmosphere gives a dizzy effect to the item number sung by Indravathi Chauhan.

The controversy

Since the groovy song’s release, many have criticized 'O Antava' and have said the song should be banned for its controversial lyrics and visuals. Netizens have slammed the song for allegedly portraying men as lustful. Not only the song but Samantha, too, has been facing the wrath of social media for 'O Antava'.

The much-needed support

But there are others who believe there’s nothing controversial in the song, instead it highlights the harsh reality. While loyal fans and followers of Samantha have backed him amid the controversy popular Bengali actor Rajatava Dutta has also extended his support for the South sensation.

Reality check for all!

“I don’t understand why people are reacting this way. There’s nothing in the song that humiliates a man. In fact, this is a reality in our country where even a 10-year-old little girl gets raped. This song carries a strong message for the evil side of society. You can’t deny it. Tell me one thing, are women safe at night while going outside?” that’s what Rajatava wants to ask all.

Why such ego clash?

“O Antava' takes a dig at only those who objectify women, not men in general. I hope people will understand the lyrics leaving behind their ego for just one minute,” explained the seasoned actor whose latest film ‘Antardhaan’ has received a decent response since its release. Rajatava’s performance in the film has also been appreciated by all.
