Salman Khan bowls Kolkata over with a spectacular show

It was a Saturday night like no other for Kolkata, with a football ground near Maidan reverberating with the voices of thousands of fans chanting, “Bhaijaan, Tiger, Sultan!” They were waiting for a glimpse of their Bhaijaan, Salman Khan, who was visiting the City of Joy after 14 years. What came next was a show that won’t be easily forgotten. Star after star scorched the stage with their dance moves amid sparkling fireworks, driving the audience into a frenzy.


The first to arrive on stage was the host of the evening, Manish Paul.“Kolkata kemon acho? Khub bhalo lagche ekhane eshe. Let’s look forward to a joshful evening with Salman bhai,” he told the exuberant crowd. Chants of ‘Bhaijaan, Tiger, Sultan’ echoed across the venue as the crowd waited for a glimpse of Salman Khan.


The roar became deafening as Pooja Hegde came on stage to perform to her hit dance numbers like and . Then came Aayush Sharma, who set the stage on fire with his dance moves. But when Jacqueline Fernandez made her entry, the venue exploded with cheers and whistles, especially when she performed to .
Then came Prabhudeva’s electrifying moves to that upped the energy at the venue by another notch. Sonakshi, who performed next, told the audience, “Ami tomader khub bhalobasi; khub bhalo lagche ekhane eshe,” before asking everyone to light their mobile torches so that she could take a selfie with “the amazing Kolkata crowd”.


The crowd went berserk when Salman finally made a grand entry. Almost everyone stood on their seats to record his performance as he danced to a medley of hits like and for 15 minutes straight before taking a break. After a Guru Randhawa performance, Salman returned with Pooja, Jacqueline and Sonakshi, and danced to his romantic hits. After the performance, Salman washed his face and said, “Kolkata is too hot, and I am loving it! Kolkata has a fantastic audience. I’m feeling very nice to be here. Lots of love to you all. I wish that whatever you wish you get in life. I promise, I will be back soon.”
