‘Sagardwipe Jawker Dhan’ trailer out now, film to release on December 6

For us, who grew up in ’90s, Jawker Dhan evokes a series of memories. In our childhood, we crushed on Hemendra Kumar Roy’s daredevil detective duos — Bimal and Kumar. In 2017, Sayantan Ghosal had teased us with those nostalgic memories with his adventure flick Jawker Dhan. In 2019, the treasure hunt adventure franchise is back with an original story in Sayantan’s upcoming ‘Sagardwipe Jawker Dhan’ starring Koel Mallick, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Gaurav Chakrabarty in the lead.
On Wednesday the official trailer was unveiled as the star cast graced the occasion. Considering the high action trailer, it seems the film will be worth a watch. Though the charm of Hemendra Kumar Roy’s fantastic adventures fizzled out in its own due course, the reminiscing nostalgia will surely take you to the theatres when the film releases on December 6. But, before that the official trailer raises the expectation bar.

Produced by Surinder films and Champion Movies, the film sees Koel playing Ruby Chatterjee, a doctor, while Parambrata and Gaurav play adventurers Bimal and Kumar.
This kind of treasure hunt dramas often shows that some of our childhood literature can resurrect from oblivion and cast spell on all of us. It will be interesting to see how ‘Sagardwipe Jawker Dhan’ scores at the box office.
