Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Anusha Viswanathan starrer ‘Hemanter Aparanha’ hosts its grand premiere; See photos

‘Hemanter Aparanha’, a film by award-winning director Ashoke Viswanathan, takes audiences on a poignant journey through love, loss, and the transformative power of art. The movies premiered recently in the city of Joy and the stars from the tinsel town were present to mark the occasion. See the photos from the grand premiere.

​Ashoke Vishwanathan, the director and producer of ‘Hemanter Aparanha’ says, “This film has a narrative that constantly keeps you engaged with questions relating to life after retirement and life after death, desire and despair and how the young people of today are so alive to a changing world replete with virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence. In the background are the menacing results of the lockdown and war in Ukraine and Gaza. The trailer of the film has come up very well and he has done a great job this time too.”

​Rwitobroto Mukherjee is one of the most promising actors of this generation. After debuting with ‘Open Tee Bioscope’, Rwitobroto went on to work in projects like ‘Durga Sohay’, ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’, ‘Generation Ami’, ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’, ‘Dwitiyo Purush’, ‘Rawkto Rawhoshyo’. Rwitobroto, who is in a pivotal role in ‘Hemanter Aparanha’, says, “I am really thrilled to be part of Hemanter Aparanha, a film that beautifully captures the complexities of life and promises to resonate deeply with audiences.”

​Anusha Viswanathan, who currently is one of the most popular faces in the Bengali entertainment industry, has been simultaneously working on both TV and the big screen. The actress, who is the daughter of Ashoke Viswanathan, recently wrapped shooting for her popular Bengali soap ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha’, plays one of the key roles in ‘Hemanter Aparanha’. The actress says, “Hemanter Aparanha is a heartfelt exploration of human emotions and relationships, and I am honoured to bring my character to life in this poignant narrative.”

​The Grand Premiere of the movie took place recently and was attended by stars like Richa Sharma, Moubani Sorcar, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Subrata Sen, Subrata Datta, Anik Dutta, Indrasis Acharya, Amartya Ray, Chandreyee Ghosh, Sritama Dey, Raja Sen, Abhinandan Banerjee, Shantilal Mukherjee, Samidh Mukherjee, Bauddhayan Mukherji, Urvi Chatterjee and the entire cast and crew of Hemanter Aparanha.

​‘Hemanter Aparanha’ features a stellar cast, including Anusha Viswanathan, Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Satyapriya Mukhopadhyay in central roles. A strong supporting cast includes Bidipta Chakraborty. The music is composed by Gaurab Chatterjee with songs by ‘Lakkhichhara’. Joydeep Bhowmick has worked as a cinematographer and the editing is done by National Award winner Arghyakamal Mitra. ‘Hemanter Aparanha’ is set to release at the Theatres on July 12, 2024.
