Praktan nears 2 crores in first week BO collections

Praktan is the first film in 2016 to have crossed 1 crore in the first three days of its opening. And, by the end of the first week, the Nandita Ray Shiboprosad Mukherjee directorial has clocked a whopping 1 crore 96 thousand. According to industry sources, this is the first Bengali film of 2016 to have run to full houses even in the weekdays. The last Bengali film that gave housefull shows was Sankhachil, and that was just the weekends.
According to insiders, this film is, till date, the director duo's biggest budget film. Priya Cinemas' owner Arijit Dutta tweeted,
"After a long long time an Urban genre Bengali film collects quarter a crore in a day #Praktan @shibumukherjee"
