Parambrata Chatterjee wants to direct old friend Koel Mallick

After ‘Hemlock Society’ and ‘Highway’, old friends Parambrata Chatterjee and Koel Mallick have teamed up for the third time for Sayantan Ghoshal's next film ‘Jawker Dhan 2’, the sequel of ‘Jawker Dhan’ that introduced the famous pulp fiction characters Bimal and Kumar to Bengali movie buffs. Koel Mallick will essay out the role of a doctor named Ruby Chatterjee, who is not an adventurous person but a shocking turn of events will lead her to the journey of a lifetime.
Parambrata has seen Koel closely over the years and he is super excited to work with her yet again.The best part is Parambrata dreams of directing the actress to explore her abilities and talent more. “I would love to direct Koel in a film which will be centred around her character. There are few actors with whom you want to work and explore. I have always wanted to direct Koel. She has that witty, funny nature that’s utterly enjoyable,” he said.
Just like the previous one, Sayantan’s upcoming ‘Jawker Dhan 2’ will also revolve around a treasure hunt. Beside Parambrata and Koel, it also stars Gaurav Chakraborty and Kaushik Sen in lead roles.
The film will be largely shot in Kolkata, Thailand and North Bengal. Shooting for the Kolkata part has already been started.
