Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s upcoming ‘

Mukhomukhi

’ is based on a play ‘Abayab’, written by the director and sheds light on the lives of an urban, modern day dysfunctional couple Sounak and Anasua.
Actress Paayel Sarkar Sarkar plays the character of Anasua, an educated, opinionated independent woman.
Being a devoted home-maker, she discovers herself torn between her strong sense of individuality and her not so well worked out marriage life. Jisshu Sengupta will be seen as her husband while the relationship drama also features Anjan Dutt, Rajatava Dutta, Gargee Roychowdhury, Shaheb Bhattacharjee and Ushasie Chakraborty in key roles.
“Anasua is really caring and affectionate. But sometimes, being too much of anything can turn out to be claustrophobic for the other parson involved in the relationship. These are the main conflicts and complications my character goes through,” said Paayel while speaking about the film.
The brown-eyed Bengali beauty added: “Mukhomukhi’s plot travels beyond the mainstream typical format we see and experiments in story-telling and characterisation. The film was largely shot in a 360 degree set focusing on a non-specific space to follow a theatrical pattern.”
Paayel is also playing a key role in a comedy flick ‘Jamai Bodol’ releasing on January 18.
