Most awaited Bengali films releasing this December

We have already seen some of the most-anticipated films of the year clashing at the box office during Puja. ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ and ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’ raked gold at the box office. While films like ‘Generation Aami’ and ‘Bagh Bandi Khela’ still running successfully at the theatres, December will see a number of promising Bengali movie releasing among which Pavel's ‘Rosogolla’ and Raj Chakraborty's ‘Adventure Of Jojo’ are the most talked about films to double up the excitement during Christmas. Parambrata and Raima’s ‘Reunion’ is another potential box office hit. Two more relatively small budget films ‘The Hacker’ and ‘Wronggg Number’ will also release this month. Here’s all you need to know about the five upcoming December releases.

Reunion

All those who are eagerly waiting to experience the crackling chemistry between Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen on big screen, get ready for grand cinematic experience. Murari M Rakshit's upcoming film ‘Reunion’, starring Parambrata and Raima in the lead is all set for a December 7 release. Also featuring Indrashish Roy, Sourav Das, Anindita Bose, Saayoni Ghosh and Samadarshi in pivotal roles, the film is all about a group of college friends gathering for a reunion after a long time but one friend among them is missing. Against the backdrop of 90s West Bengal, ‘Reunion’ deals with politics and its effects on the students but that’s not all. Nostalgia has a key role to play in the narrative. The story sees a group of University students from the 1995 batch and their reunion after almost 20 years. As the group finally meets, they find out one of their senior (Parambrata) is now in a village near Darjeeling as he decides to dedicate his life to the villagers in the hilly area. Raima will be seen as an independent lady Monideepa who had a crush on Parambrata’s character in her college life.
