In the film, Trimala will be seen as a girl in two phases — 14 years old and 26 years old. Aneek added, “First, we had thought that a child will be portraying the character (14 years phase), but I was not quite convinced with the similarities in looks with that of a 26-year-old person. I needed an exact clone that would help the audiences form a sense of empathy with the character. However, Trimala was brave enough to suggest this, and we thought that yes this could be it. This was the thing we were looking for. Though, it will be a great challenge, but we will make sure things work out.” Kamra (room) is a tale of bonding that takes place in a room; it narrates the story of growing up and exploring things that are likely to change the course of previously unknitted relationships. . Trimala has featured in films like Garbage, Bhasmasur and the short film, Afternoon Clouds. She made her debut in 2012 in the Manav Kaul-directed film, Hansa. Said Aneek, “I came to know of her through Payal’s (Kapadia) short, Afternoon Clouds, which was in Cannes in 2017. I got a few glimpses of her through it and then I was rather impressed by her performance in Haraamkhor. To hold her own opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui was tough, but she did it with great elan. Her presence was overpowering.
