Gaurav regrets missing his Sunday hall visit
On Sunday, Gaurav Chakrabarty missed going out on hall visits with Sayantan Ghosal and Parambrata Chatterjee for SagardwipeyJawkerDhan, which is an adventure film with lots of visual effects. The film also stars Koel Mallick, Kanchan Mullick, Shantilal Mukherjee and others.
“During winter, we have a lot of stage shows. Moreover, at present, I am working in three plays. Bhiti O Subhecha, a comedy satire written and directed by Kheyali Dastidar, is having regular shows.

So, I was busy with the show and missed the hall visit, which I like the most, as I get to know the feedback from the audience directly. Later, I called Sayantan to know that the halls were packed and the audience really loved the film, especially the visual effects,” said the actor, adding, “My parents, brother (Arjun Chakrabarty) and wife (Ridhima Ghosh) were there for the premiere and everyone loved the film. Baba (Sabyasachi Chakrabarty) said the film is larger than life on a vast scale, but at the same time, deals with a very important issue.”
SagardwipeyJawkerDhan revolves around Bimal and Kumar, who meet a petrol pump owner Bakashyam Dhar, whose father, Radheshyam, was a scientist. Radheshyam’s research suggested that if a rare element called red mercury could be found, it can be a very effective substitute for fossil fuels, which are gradually depleting. If this chemical is actually discovered then it can be a readymade solution to the worldwide energy crisis.
Bimal and Kumar begin their quest for this chemical. In this venture Bimal comes across a doctor, Rubi Chatterjee, who is also searching for the chemical to prepare a medicine. “And what follows after that is a tale of thrill, adventure and above all, humanity,” said Gaurav, who is also part of two more plays — Sironam, a serious drama, and a comedy, Chitegur.
