is all set for his upcoming movie ‘Mahalaya’. Prosenjit Chatterjee and
Jisshu Sengupta have been roped in to play the lead roles. Apart from the two high profile actors, popular faces of the industry such as Kanchan Mullick, Rudranil Ghosh and
Saptarshi Ray
are also cast to portray pivotal roles.
According to the ongoing rumours, Debajyoti Mishra will act as the music composer of 'Mahalaya'. Expectations would definitely be on the higher side as the noted music director has recently won a lot of acclaim for his background score for ‘Mayurakshi’. Mrinmoy Nandi is all set to take charge behind the camera.
Subhamoy Chatterjee will reportedly be seen as the legendary Pankaj Mullick, while Jisshu Sengupta to portray Uttam Kumar and Subhashish Mukherjee will play the role of Birendra Krishna Bhadra.
The story of ‘Mahalaya’ revolves around the infamous public rebellion following a self-governing egalitarianism.
