After the huge success of the national award winning ‘Nirbashito’,
Churni Ganguly is back again behind the camera for her second directorial ‘Tarikh’. The shooting is currently underway.
The story of this film revolves around three close friends, Anirban, Ira, and Rudrangshu essayed by some of the industry’s finest character artists Saswata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, and Ritwick Chakraborty respectively.
‘Tarikh’ will mainly highlight the friendship, complexity of love, larger than life aspirations and how all of these affect our daily life. The narrative will also show how these three people see the world connected by internet and the director assures, the dramatic narration will touch your heart.
‘Tarikh’ will be produced by Suparna Kanti Korati who in 2017 bankrolled the critically acclaimed Bengali film ‘Bisarjan’.
Meanwhile, Saswata’s next film ‘Good Night City’ is releasing this summer. In this
Kamaleshwar Mukherjee directed psychological thriller he will be seen alongside
Rituparna Sengupta and Ritwick.
Raima’s upcoming film is ‘Sitara’ where she has been cast as the protagonist.
