Shororipu Two - Jotugriho

, revolves around Debraj Sen, who is a 60-year-old talented, successful, much-acclaimed but arrogant music director living in Kolkata with his wife and children — Megha and Tithi. He is temperamental in his art, promiscuous in his relationships, insensitive as a father and unabashedly carries everything that he is, in his attitude. Every year, he takes a vacation for a month and sets off to some unknown destination with strict instructions to friends and family that he not be contacted or disturbed during this period. This respite is the fuel he needs for his artistic endeavours for the rest of the year. In the timeline of the film, Megha and Tithi too decide to take off for the hills, where Rituparna, Debraj’s elder sister and her family reside. They are gone for a month as Tithi’s school is closed for summer vacations. They schedule their return in sync with Debraj’s return from his sojourn, in fact a few days earlier, as Debraj had set a chore for Megha to complete before he returned. As Megha and Tithi comes back from their vacation, they find Debraj dead at his studio.
The unnatural circumstances make this a police case and a celebrated detective of Kolkata Police,

, enters the scene. He starts the investigation in his own signature style. When did Debraj return? How did he die in that house? Was it a murder or an accident? A suicide perhaps? If it was a suicide, why did he do it? And if it was a murder, who did it, and how was it done?
Chiranjeet will be seen as Chandrakanto, Saswata Chatterjee as Debraj, Arunima Ghosh as Megha and Rajesh Sharma as DCP Kolkata Police. The film also stars Darshana Banik.
The music of this movie is another surprise as Rupam Islam is making a comeback after many years as a music director. Sahana Bajpai, Aditi Pal, Nachiketa and Rupam have done the playback. It’s also the first time that Nachiketa and Rupam Islam have come together for a musical project.
“I enjoyed playing Chandrakanto. Ayan intelligently used through my character in the first part of the film — which was interesting,” said Chiranjeet.
