As Argentina and France brace for the high-octane final of the 2022 World Cup the entire world is waiting for a thrilling game of football. Not just fans worldwide but our very own celebs too are all excited for the Sunday final. They want to see Messi winning the trophy in his last world cup and at the same time all excited for a spectacular, charged-up final showdown in Qatar. Ahead of the final clash ETimes spoke to a few of our very own Tollywood celebs to know what they have to say about the World Cup final. Read on…

Lionel Messi confirms Qatar final will be his last FIFA World Cup game

Breaking down France will be one of the toughest challenges for Messi and Argentina. When the World Cup trophy at stake you can imagine the unbelievable pressure for the two teams. Argentina’s direct, vertical football can make the damage but this France team is so powerful in every aspect. Look at their reserve bench and the attacking force. I will root for Argentina as a fan but it can’t be denied the challenge is huge. Before the World Cup started I had predicted that France might reach the final and Messi will shine. My two predictions have worked. Now I want to see Messi winning the World Cup trophy.

Rwitobroto Mukherjee

I want to see a nail-biting World Cup final. As a fan of world football I am looking forward to the ultimate battle. Argentina has nicely built the momentum throughout the tournament France is a force to reckon. You can’t predict the result but I will be rooting for Argentina despite being a Germany fan. I also want to see Messi lifting the trophy. This glory will complete his illustrious career. If Messi can win Argentina the World Cup it will be proved that football hasn’t yet lost the artistic touch completely.

Ishaa Saha

I am simply a blind supporter of Messi and his team and like others, I am also eagerly waiting to see the final showdown. But I have a shooting. So if I can manage to complete it in time I will straight go back home and watch the World Cup final with my family.

Subhrajit Mitra

I have always been an Argentina supporter and I am all excited for a thrilling final game. If Argentina has Messi then France has one of the strongest teams of the World Cup. And I hope Messi wins the final showdown. It will be a fitting tribute for a legend like him. I got goosebumps watching him being at the peak of his powers. That assist against Croatia was purely out of this world.

Rahul Banerjee

I have always been an Argentina fan and have already planned to watch the Argentina-France final with my friends in the evening. Another thing is since this is my favourite team playing for the World Cup trophy I have no problem in becoming a bit superstitious. I am praying that Messi finally lifts the trophy this time.

Ranojoy

I am all in for Lionel Messi and Argentina. I have always been Argentina supporter and the way the South Americans giants marched into the final it seems the stage is set for the final glory for Messi. He’s really in a phenomenal form. It would have been great if Argentina faced Brazil, I was so looking forward to the clash. But it didn’t happen. Anyways, it will be a difficult task for Messi because France is a strong team.

8/8

Ishan Mazumder

There’s no denying it will be tough but I strongly believe Argentina will win and considering this is Messi’s last world cup there’s simply no other option. Also, I am eagerly waiting for yet another Messi magic. When they beat Croatia 3-0 everyone in my house burst into joy. We are die-hard Argentina supporters and will be with the team no matter what happens. I was stunned to see Messi’s assist against Croatia. How can someone play such trick in such a small gap with the opponent players all surrounding you? It’s unthinkable.
