Biswanath all set to play a different kind of role

The audience will get to see Biswanath Basu playing a different kind of role in Anindo Sarkar’s Tri Angle. Speaking about the film, which also stars Kaushik Sen and Satabdi Chakraborty in important roles,

Biswanath

said, “Tri Angle is a psychological thriller and the way Anindoda has directed it is praiseworthy. When the film starts, my character, Aniket, will seem to be an ordinary, loving husband. But as the film progresses, there is a tremendous twist in my character, which the audience will take time to accept.”

He went on to add that he shares a lot of screen space with Babanda (Kaushik) in the film. “I feel he is one of the finest actors in our industry and I wish to act in a stage play directed by him. Not many know that years back, Babanda thought of doing a play where Rituparno Ghosh was supposed to play Krishna and Kanchan (Mullick) and I were to play Jagai and Madhai. But sadly, it didn’t happen.”

The film, Triangle, revolves around how Rajdip, a middle-aged businessman and widower, gets involved with Tanya Chatterjee, a television anchor.

Meanwhile, Biswanath will also start shooting for Partha Sarathi Jaordar’s film from next month.
“I am travelling to Dooars on December 29 with my family. It is a family tradition to go to North Bengal in between Christmas and New Year,” said the actor.

The actor is also elated that in the past week, he met all his favourite people — Ajay Devgn, Mithun Chakraborty and Saurav Ganguly. “I had a two-hour-long chat with Mithunda. It was his off day and the adda was brilliant. He was making continental food and asked me to have dinner with him. I was a part of

, where I met Dada (Saurav). We had lunch together and I told him the day I heard the news that he is the new BCCI president. I told him I only remembered Greg Chappel’s face,” the actor signed off.
