‘Binisutoy’ which sees Ritwick Chakraborty and Jaya Ahsan sharing the screen for the first time Best Screenplay and Best Music awards at the Aurangabad International Film Festival recently and the National Award-winning filmmaker is all praise for his team.

The film was earlier screened at the prestigious International Film Festival of Kerala also in December last year. It’s an official selection at the MADRIFF, Madrid Indie Film Festival as well in the completion section for Best Feature.

In ‘Binisutoy’, Kajal Sarkar (Ritwick Chakraborty) and Sraboni Barua (Jaya Ahsan) are two strangers who meet at the audition of a reality game show, and thereafter through some strange turns of events, the journey of these two people grow into an engaging drama of intrigue, surprise and enlightenment.

The film’s story penned by Atanu himself sheds light on the eternal quest for an alternative lifestyle. What’s more interesting apart from the unusual pair of Riwick and Jaya is that we would get to see Jaya Ahsan’s singing talent as well in the film. Beside Jaya Ahsan and Riiwick, the film has an ensemble cast including Kaushik Sen, Chandrayee Ghosh, Kheya Chattopadhyay and others in important roles.
