Astro - love story of a gangster

'Astro' is the love story of a dreaded gangster Baban and a journalist, Koena. For the gangster, killing is his favourite pastime and his girlfriend is unaware of his identity. However, she does come to know the real Baban, and then he falls into a dilemma when she asks him to give up everything. He either has to choose her and get eliminated by his gang, or stay with the gang and risk losing her.What does he do?
Astro has been directed by Tathagata Bhattacharya and produced by Amit Agarwal who is also the editor of the film. The cinematographer is Rana Dasgupta. The music is by Debjit Bera while the lyrics are by Rajeev Dutta. The 6 songs of the film have been sung by Rupam Islam, Chandrayee Bhattacharya, Sujoy Bhowmick, Manisha, Nayan Bhattacharya and Debjit Bera. The film stars Joy Mukherjee, Samapika, Soumitra Chatterjee, Deepankar Dey, Biplab Chatterjee, Shankar Chakrabarty, Masood Akhtar, Rajesh Sharma,Sudeshna Chakrabarty, Shymal Dutta and Ashok Vishwanathan.
