Abir and Sohini reunite for Pavel’s family drama

They are one of the most popular on-screen jodis of Tollywood. And now, the hit pair of Byomkesh and Satyabati will be seen in an all-new avatar in Pavel’s next film — a family drama. We heard Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar have already blocked their dates around end of March and April. Said a source close to the development, “Pavel had initially thought of making a musical extravaganza with the duo on a grand scale. But it had to be pushed back by a year because the execution involves certain challenges. So, he came up with this family drama, as the actors had already blocked their dates for him. The film will go on the floors from April.”

Though Pavel chose to remain tight-lipped about the project, the director didn’t deny the fact that he is planning a film with

Abir

and Sohini. “It is too early to talk about the film,” he told us. Abir and Sohini will also be seen together in Indraadip Das Gupta’s

Agantuk

, which chronicles the life of an elderly woman, who is found dead at her residence one morning. The shooting for the film is already complete.
