‘Enthiran’ (2010)

Directed by Shankar, this sci-fi marvel showcases Rajinikanth as both an ingenious scientist and the iconic robot, Chitti. The duality of his role was delivered impeccably, helping the film attain massive success. It's cutting-edge visuals and gripping narrative garnered applause, making it a notable addition to Rajinikanth's illustrious career.

‘Kabali’ (2016)

This movie is special as it represents Rajinikanth's maiden project with the acclaimed director Pa Ranjith. In Kabali, he adopts a chic persona that resonated deeply with his fans. Although it garnered varied opinions, the film's commercial performance was undeniable. It boasted a stellar ensemble including Radhika Apte, Kishore, Winston Chao, and Sai Dhanshika.

‘Kaala’ (2018)

In another collaboration with Pa Ranjith, Rajinikanth returned to the big screen portraying a formidable gangster in 'Kaala'. The movie, pivoting around the face-off between the protagonist and a menacing politician (played by Nana Patekar), was lauded for its authentic action sequences and profound political nuances. On its debut, it surpassed the collections of Vijay's film, 'Mersal', in Chennai.

‘2.0’ (2018)

Often called a spiritual continuation of 'Enthiran', '2.0' redefined benchmarks in the Tamil film domain. It shattered records by amassing Rs 2.64 crore on its inaugural day in Chennai. Displaying Rajinikanth's versatility, he took on four separate roles, delighting audiences. It was a sensation in the Hindi film circuit, introducing Bollywood's Akshay Kumar to the Tamil audience as the villain.

‘Petta’ (2019)

This action-packed film stands as a testament to Rajinikanth's enduring appeal. Released during the festive Pongal season, 'Petta', directed by Karthik Subbaraj, triumphed at the box office even when up against a formidable rival in 'Viswasam'.
