Voters will derail BJP’s ‘double engine’ in upcoming polls: Pritam Singh
DEHRADUN/UTTARKASHI: In an apparent attack on PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, Congress state president and party’s candidate from Tehri Lok Sabha constituency Pritam Singh slammed the incumbent BJP-led government at the Centre saying voters will derail BJP’s double engine.
While campaigning at Purola, Naugoun, Chinyalisaur, Dunda and Bhatwari blocks of
Lauding Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Singh said, “Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress party will surely register a historic victory in general elections. Congress will waive farmer's loans and will credit Rs 72,000 in the accounts of BPL families within 10 days after being voted to power. Party will also give martyr status to slain jawans of our para military forces. Besides, the party will also resolve local issues and speed up the development works in Tehri constituency.”

Notably, on Thursday, at his rally in Udham Singh Nagar district, PM Modi had termed the hill state as Veer bhoomi (land of the brave), saying, “Devbhomi Uttarakhand has Char Dhams, but today I add a fifth one — Sainik Dham as every second house in this state is that of an Armyman.”
