EC releases final list of voters for Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN: As per the final list released by the Election Commission (EC) on Thursday, Uttarakhand has a total of 77.65 lakh voters which includes 40.53 lakh male, 37.11 lakh female voters and 259 voters belonging to the third gender. Besides, there are 88,600 service voters in the state.
The data issued on Thursday shows that Udham Singh Nagar district has a total of 11.90 lakh voters, Nainital has 7.41 lakh, Champawat 1.93 lakh, Almora 5.31 lakh, Bageshwar 2.10 lakh, Pithoragarh 3.73 lakh, Pauri 5.59 lakh, Haridwar 13.29 lakh, Dehradun 14.27 lakh, Tehri 5.04 lakh, Rudraprayag 1.83 lakh, Chamoli 2.95 lakh and Uttarkashi 2.24 lakh.

The state has 259 voters from the third gender with maximum 120 from Haridwar followed by 73 from Dehradun, 26 from Udham Singh Nagar, 17 from Nainital, four from Tehri, one from Uttarkashi, two from Chamoli, nine from Pauri, one from Pithoragarh, five from Almora and one from Champawat.
Of the 88,600 service voters, Tehri has a total of 12,027 such voters out of which 11,841 are male and 216 are female. There are 33,653 service voters in Haridwar. 33,392 are male and the remaining 261 are female. Almora has 27,954 service voters comprising 27,663 male and 291 female voters. Nainital has 9,937 service voters out of which 9,756 are male and 181 are female. With 4,999 service voters, Haridwar stands at the bottom of this list with 4,870 male and 129 female voters.
