, Pritam Singh on Tuesday claimed that the Congress would win all 5
Lok Sabha
seats and will form the government at the Centre.
Addressing a large gathering at Gandhi Chowk here, the Congress party state chief accused the BJP of making false promises and failing to deliver on several counts.
“People have seen the real face of BJP and realized that they are only making false promises. There is a nationwide resentment against the BJP and this will reflect in the election results,” Pritam said
Taking on the Trivendra Singh Rawat led state government, Pritam said that even after two years the “double engine” government at the state and Centre failed to fulfill its promises.
Pritam also took on the incumbent MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah of BJP and accused her of failing to work for the development of her constituency.
Speaking about the manifesto released by the Congress, Pritam said that loan waiver for farmers and providing financial assistance of Rs. 72,000 per year were one of the key agendas of the Congress and once the grand old party comes to power it would fulfil the promises.
A large number of Congress leaders, including former MLA Jot Singh Gunsola, former municipal council chairman Manmohan Singh Mall, Congress Mussoorie unit president Satish Dhoundhiyal and other Congressmen appealed people to vote for Congress.
