Vaibhav Gehlot welcomed with major fanfare in Jodhpur
JODHPUR: Vaibhav Gehlot, who reached Jodhpur on Monday for the first time after his nomination to contest
On his arrival at Jodhpur railway station accompanied by his wife, Vaibhav was extended a gala welcome where a huge crowd of party leaders and workers converged to receive him filling the station with sounds of slogans in his and his father Ashok Gehlot’s favour. There was an uncontrolled jostling among the workers to offer him garlands and turbans while he was received by the over-excited workers flaunting his pictures amid the percussion of traditional drums and folk dance.
Though, Vaibhav was definitely agog seeing such a huge crowd, the passengers at the railway station had a very tough time manoeuvring their way to their trains or out of the station. It took Vaibhav two hours to come out of the station from where he headed to the party office.
While talking to mediapersons at the office, Vaibhav said that he had been given a huge responsibility and he would try his best to keep the trust of high command evinced in him. “It is a huge responsibility and I would try my best to live up to this responsibility and the trust, the high command has evinced in me, by fielding me from Jodhpur constituency,” said Gehlot.
