‘Rathore has no right to question Rahul’

JAIPUR: A day after union minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore raised questions to Congress president Rahul Gandhi regarding unemployment and farmer loan waiver, state transport and soldier welfare minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas counter-questioned the Jaipur rural MP on the latter’s achievements.
“Rathore has no right to question Rahul Gandhi when he himself has done no work in the last five years for his constituency.He moves up and down the Jaipur-Delhi national highway frequently but has not been able to ensure completion of work of it even in five years. Hundreds of innocent people have lost their lives in accidents on this highway since 2014. Isn’t Rathore and union transport minister Nitin Gadkari responsible for these deaths?” Khachariyawas said on Wednesday. He added, “Rathore should, in fact question his own party (BJP) about the work it has done since it came into power in the Centre.”
In a two-minute video shared on Twitter, Rathore had earlier called for the Congress president to address seven questions relating to achievements of the party's newly-formed government in Rajasthan.
In reaction, the state transport minister posed nine questions to the union minister and asked, “I want to ask Rathore and PM Narendra Modi, both, about what happened to their promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh in every citizen’s account? What happened to reducing fuel prices? Why did they take back cases against 12K stone pelters in Kashmir? Why did BJP not take firm action against Pakistan like Indira Gandhi had done? Why is the Modi government unwilling to reveal the details of Rafale aircraft and who stole the papers related to the deal? What happened to BJP’s promise of bringing in ‘ache din’ (good days)?” He added, “Why did the previous Raje-government not implement Ayushman Bharat Yojana and why did Rathore make no efforts in ensuring its implementation in Rajasthan?”
Khachariyawas further said that while the BJP has been indulging in making fake promises to win elections, Congress in Rajasthan has implemented on its poll promises waived off Rs 18,000 crore in farm loans and giving Rs 3,000-3,500 to unemployed youth in the state.
