BJP worked for safety of women, children: Vasundhara Raje

JAIPUR: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje held a public meeting in

support of BJP candidate

Narendra Kumar in Jhunjhunu on Wednesday. Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje held a public address in Jhunjhunu in support of the BJP candidate Narendra Kumar from the parliamentary constituency.


Talking about the achievements of her party, she said, “We have worked to ensure safety

of women

and

children

and it was BJP which got the provision of death sentence for those raping young girls. In some cases, the sentence was also given. During Congress reign, crime has increased by 16% in the state. People are now questioning the state government’s stance when it comes to safety and security especially of girl child.”

Khichar is also the sitting MLA from Mandawa in Jhunjhunu and was given the ticket over the sitting MP Santosh Ahlawat. Attacking Congress during her address, Raje said, “Post-independence, Congress was in power for 55 years and they misguided the voters with false promises. Every time Congress has not been in power, they tried to create an atmosphere of communal tension in the country. Now, the party is in power in the state and is not letting the people of Rajasthan reap the benefits of schemes initiated by the Central government.”

She further said, “I am happy to see that similar to the Modi wave in the country, Narendra Kumar is also getting a lot from the constituency voters.”

“I would request that all of you vote for our candidate from Jhunjhunu to ensure the PM Narendra Modi returns for a second term”, concluded Raje.

Following her address in Jhunjhunu, Raje visited Dhopur and interacted with the party workers there. She will also be visiting Karauli on Thursday to review the preparations for Modi’s rally there on May 3 which she is also expected to be a part of.
