JAIPUR: Alleging prejudice, the BJP demanded removal of District Election Officer (DEO) Jagroop Yadav and ARO Ghanshyam Sharma from poll duty for seeking reply on a complaint stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting in Jaipur had violated the model code of conduct (MCC). Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Rajasthan Anand Kumar has sought comments from Yadav on the BJP's concerns.

The BJP, in a complaint to the CEO, demanded removal of Yadav and Sharma, saying they have acted out of "prejudice to issue a notice” in the matter. "It is unfortunate that an IAS doesn't know who to issue notice, who not to. We have demanded Jagroop Singh Yadav and ARO Ghanshyam Sharma should be removed from poll duty," said BJP election cell chief Nahar Singh.
