Piyush Goyal's interaction with tax professionals & bizmen turns political

LUDHIANA: The much propagated interaction meeting organised for industry and taxation professionals with union minister for railways and coal, Piyush Goyal turned out to be a complete political show. As during the meeting Goyal not only listed the achievements of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last five years but also launched scathing attack against Congress party several times during his speech. Adding more political fervour to the meeting, brother of Maheshinder Singh Grewal , Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP alliance Loksabha candidate from Ludhiana shouted slogans of “Abki bar modi Sarkar” several times when he was given a chance to address the gathering.

Meanwhile Piyush Goyal who arrived late at the venue of this meeting said, “Rahul Gandhi is taking dreams of becoming prime minister of the country but is unaware that this time the situation is even more worse than 2014 for Congress party. Last time they got the chance to bag the post of leader of opposition but even this would not be possible this time for Congress. His political guru Sam Pitroda has exposed the thinking of Gandhi and Congress by making such a highly condemnable remark about the 1984 riots for which they will not be forgiven by the 1984 riot victims and countrymen”

Attacking Rahul Gandhi and Congress on promises to businessmen about relaxation in tax rates of GST and making it simpler, Goyal said, “There is no GST on showing dreams to people or dreaming yourself. Same is the case with the Rs 72,000 per year promise made by the Congress party in its manifesto which can never be fulfilled by them”

Commenting on the violence during polls in West Bengal, the union minister said, “It is very unfortunate that after realising that she is set to lose miserably in these elections, West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee is indulging in such acts like booth capturing, attacking the leaders and supporters of our party. Such an ideology to impact the results of elections by using violence clearly show that election results will be in our favour.”

Goyal also took a dig at the Congress MP candidate from Ludhiana

Ravneet Singh Bittu

and said, “During my tenure as union minister in this government I have taken care of five ministries and never ever in five years, Ravneet Bittu who is sitting MP from Ludhiana came to me even with a single file of any work related to Ludhiana. So people of the city can well imagine about working of such politicians.”

Complete ruckus was witnessed after the program ended as dozens of people including tax professionals, businessmen surrounded Goyal for pictures and selfies.
