No decision on candidature from Ferozepur, says Sukhbir Singh Badal

AMRITSAR: Putting to rest of speculations that he could contest from Ferozepur parliamentary constituency, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal clarified that only the party's core committee would take a decision on him contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Badal said, "These are all speculations and nothing else.''
He said the party's core committee would meet soon to discuss and analyse the situation, and then release the next list of candidates.On the recently constituted SAD (Taksali), a breakaway faction of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir said, "It is not Taksalli, but jali (bogus); a Taksali is the one who stays true to the party.''
He also apprehended that Taksalis could run away from the electoral battle. Meanwhile, as many as two dozen SAD activists joined SAD (Taksali) at a function in Gurdaspur.
