NEW DELHI: Police personnel in
Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli operate in one of the worstaffected Maoist zones in the country. But after the securing the pitch for the smooth conduct of polls, they are facing a bouncer from a nurse at the sub-primary health centre in the highly-sensitive Katezhari village in Dhanora tehsil, who has accused them of endangering her life by using the centre as a polling booth for Phase 1 of the polls on April 11.
In a letter to Gadchiroli zilla parishad CEO, she has blamed police for shifting the health centre’s bed, IV-fluid stands, medicines and other materials to convert it into a polling booth without seeking permission from the department.
