Nyay is like chicken seller’s plan to make Rs 1 lakh with a hen: CM Fadnavis
BHIWANDI
: Questioning the feasibility of theNyunatam Aay Yojana
(NYAY) promised by the Congress, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday likened the opposition party’s assurance to a chicken seller’s loan repayment gambit. Under NYAY, Congress proposes to give Rs72,000 per year to the poorest in the country.Addressing a rally in Bhiwandi, he narrated an anecdote where a chicken seller who owes Rs1 lakh gives the lender one chicken. “Asked how this is repayment, the chicken seller says a hen can help make Rs 1 lakh. The seller says the hen will lay two eggs, and the hens from them will lay four eggs and they will go on multiplying. Similar is the Congress's NYAY. The Congress does not know exactly how they will pay the money (to the poor), but makes promises,” he said at the rally while campaigning for BJP MP Kapil Patil. The CM said Congress failed to eliminate poverty despite ruling the country for 60 years, but makes promises of removing poverty during every election.
Balakot air strike
. The CM said countries such as the US, Russia and China have confirmed the air strike, but only Pakistan and the Congress are demanding proof of air strike. Fadnavis further said, “Had we known that they would ask for proof, we would have tied a Congress leader with the fighter planes that carried out the air strikes.”Speaking at a rally in Dombivli later, the CM questioned the Congress promise to remove sedition law. “Is it a Congress manifesto or of terror group Jaish- e-Muhammed? Shouldn’t we have a sedition law to deal with those working against the country and our Constitution?” Fadnavis said.
Campaigning in Dombivli for Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, he took a dig at NCP chief Sharad Pawar for his decision not to contest the Lok Sabha election. The CM compared Pawar to 12th player of a cricket team. “Earlier, the NCP chief said he would contest polls from Madha and entered the cricket stadium. But after seeing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Googly, he (Pawar) left the cricket match,” Fadnavis said adding that the NCP is in such a situation that it’s not getting candidates to contest the LS polls.
