at Koparkhairane police station on Sunday late night for her controversial remark in a poll rally at Koparkhairane auditorium.

She made the remark at a public gathering on Sunday afternoon while campaigning for BJP-Sena-RPI (Athawale faction) candidate

Rajan Vichare

for Thane Lok Sabha constituency and Narendra Patil for Satara Lok Sabha Constituency.

The MLA, in her speech, encouraged the people present there to vote twice, first for candidate Narendra Patil contesting from Satara on April 23 and again for Rajan Vichare by returning to Thane on April 29. The speech was officially videographed by the squad headed by Sunil More, senior clerk and tax assessor of E-ward (

) who has been appointed as per the directives of Election Commission to keep a record of the expenses done by political parties contesting from 25-Thane Lok Sabha constituency.

The accused MLA Manda Mhatre has been booked under Section 171D and 171F (Punishment for undue influence or personation at an election) of the Indian Penal Code.
